Best option for a trip to Mogadishu - Had an amazing four day trip to Mogadishu thanks to the team at Visit Mogadishu. They did great work securing permission to visit different sites in the city and making sure I was safe.

Hospitable Team providing Excellent Service - Omar, Ali and their team took care of us from the moment we landed till the departure gate.

They included many surprises including 2 boat rides for our group.

I would highly recommend for any travellers wanting to explore Somalia!

Amazing time in Mogadishu! - To be honest I never expected to have such a great time in Mogadishu! Ali, Ahmed and Omar are all lovely people - kind, insightful and generous, and it made all the difference. I felt very well looked after and completely safe. Somalia is a fascinating place to visit and the food is incredible - I'm already planning to come back!

Experience you can't regret - I've been visiting Mogadishu for 2 days. I enjoyed my time there and felt very secure. Ali and Ahmed know the city very well. Also, food was amazing I'll now have to go on a diet! Thanks a lot!

Great communication, security, and professionalism is a winning trifecta. - Some background. The company was formed circa 2012 by Ali and Omar due to a lack of services for tourists. A Chinese tourist at the time was abandoned by an unscrupulous operator. In stepped the just graduated duo.

Two vehicles were fitted out in Dubai with 360 degree protection. The cost: $85,000 US. This explains part of the cost of your tour. The rest is the security. I had a three armed soldiers, the driver (Ali's brother) and Ali himself.

The protection works as a stray bullet (in an unrelated non tourist incident) cracked but did not penetrate a passenger side front window.

The two day tour was organized quickly and a surprise. I was nearby in Malawi and didn't have an expectation of organizing it so quickly. Ali responded instantly and within a few hours I had booked flights and was soon there. Someone handed me the official invitation before I reached the customs personnel in the airport which surprised me.

The crew will personally follow you every step of the way from entry to leaving Somalia.

A memorable part of the trip was a solemn memorial and protest associated with a recent tragedy. The suffering is ongoing and all too real. But so is the belief that one day it will end. The diaspora is returning and rebuilding the city.

Great communication, security, and professionalism is a winning trifecta.

The safest and best way of visiting Mogadishu - In 1992 I worked as a nurse on a relief team in Mogadishu, Somalia. At that time, one of my patients was a 12 year old girl named Layla who had a GSW- her condition worsened, and she stopped eating- her dying wish was for an apple, which we did not have.

Since she died in 1992, I’ve carried this in my heart for years. The reason I share this story here, is that I wanted to go back to the hospital in Mog where Layla died- to plant a baby apple tree there and dedicate it to Layla and all the children that have died in Somalia.

Ali and Omar through “Visit Mogadishu” made this happen.

I can never thank them enough for all they’ve done to facilitate this. They are also very knowledgeable about Somalia’s hx. It was a wonderful experience I will treasure forever!

I highly recommend Visit Mogadishu- they will arrange everything from the LOI/ to getting the visa- they will make your trip to Somalia an experience of a lifetime!

AMAZING!!!!! Highly recommend! - Simply incredible. Cannot recommend this company enough and Ali is a very nice person. Don’t stress, I was in a bulletproof vehicle with armed guards and we were able to walk around the beaches, lighthouse etc. I learnt a lot about the history, and we enjoyed some amazing food on the beach. This company puts together a perfect tour of Mogadishu from the second you land to the second you leave. Safe, secure and reliable. Cannot wait to come back to discover more of Somalia with VisitMogadishu!

Hargeisa-Berbera-Mogadishu Combo Trip - Ali is a courteous gentleman, well-groomed, and a pleasure to converse with. His perspective and experience were well evident in the streamlined fashion in which he organized for me a custom Somaliland & Mogadishu trip that fit within my time and flight constraints. Both he and his partner Ayanle in Hargeisa are very knowledgeable and were efficient to the point where I even had some extra time left over in both locations to do some unplanned sightseeing. The hotels booked for me were clean, comfortable, and had good aircon and wifi. Ayanle’s Lexus SUV was a smooth ride with powerful aircon and made our road trip to Berbera and back a pleasure. Ali’s Hilux in Mogadishu was fortified with safety in mind, but also blew ice cold air, making it a mini oasis in which to refresh in between our sightseeing and walking excursions. This combo trip was the highlight of a monthlong Africa journey, and I will happily recommend both Ali & Ayanle to prospective travelers.

Amazing vacation in Mogadishu! - Amazing experience with Visit Mogadishu!
Ali was the greatest guide ever and made me love this beautiful city (which by the way it is now safe, vibrant and modern!).
The food is amazing in Somalia and Lido beach in Mogadishu is beyond words!
Thank you very much Ali and Omar for this amazing time you made me experience!
